Student Performance


During the year 2018-19, the students of GWPC Thrissur performed very well in their exams. Out of 160 students of the final semester class of last year, 48 got first class with distinction and 72 students passed with first class in the diploma examination held in April 2018. The pass percentage is 71, 64, and 87 for Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Commercial Practice respectively.



  • Two students presented paper in National Level Seminar at SITTTR,Kalamassery on topic environment& sustainability
  • Final semester Project of Computer Engineering Department won runner up in project competition held in SNGIST Ernamkulam on topic Women's security
  • Final semester Project of Electronics Engineering Department Best Project in women's category held in GPTC Palakkad
  • Four students Got consolation prize in Hackathon 2K16 at VIT Chennai
  • A student Presented paper in National Seminar on Green Protocol at GPTC Cherthala.


  • Runner up in all Kerala inter polytechnic Sports Meet in the Year 2019
  • First runner up in Annual NCC training Camp.
  • Participated Republic Day ceremonial parade
  • Punarjjani camp at Community health centre, Cherpu. Assets of about Rs.50 lakhs repaired
  • Ms. K.B Thasnim a third year student in Commercial Practice received Best NSS Volunteer Award for the year 2016-17.
  • Crowned as champions in all Kerala inter polytechnic Sports Meet in the Year 2017 and 2018
  • NCC team Attended 14 days’ National Integration Camp held at Shimla
  • Participated in Startup i3 &won second prize

PEOs - Computer Engineering

  • PEO-1: Excel in professional career and / or higher education by acquiring knowledge in the area of Computer Science and Engineering.
  • PEO-2: Prepare to be employed in IT industries and be engaged in learning, understanding, and applying new ideas.
  • PEO-3: Able to design and evaluate appropriate systems to provide solutions in Computer related field that are technically sound, economically feasible and socially acceptable.
  • PEO-4: Mould responsible computer Engineers with professionalism, ethical attitudes, communication skills, self-learning and team work in their profession.

Program Outcomes (POs)

  • Basic knowledge: An ability to apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering to solve the engineering problems.
  • Discipline knowledge: An ability to apply discipline - specific knowledge to solve core and/or applied engineering problems.
  • Experiments and practice: An ability to plan and perform experiments and practices and touse the results to solve engineering problems.
